Jason Barns was born and raised in Kentucky. Growing up on his parents farm, Jason always ended the day by laying out in the fields, gazing at the starts. Jason became fascinated with space, and after graduating High School, joined the National Space Association. After working routine missions and training in the air force, Jason was selected for a three man mission to Mars. After months of training, Jason and his two companions blasted off to the Red Planet. However, a malfunction in the ship caused it to crash land on the planet. Jason, the only survivor, escaped the wrecked ship, and began to wander the planet until his oxygen ran out. It was then when he discovered a temple, which couldn't have been built by man. Adventuring inside, he discovered a glowing stone. Upon touching it, Jason was granted extraordinary powers. He was able to manipulate objects to his will, and he could fly. Jason then traveled back to Earth, where everyone assumed he had died in the crash. Assuming a new identity, Jason became Nebula, and now protects Earth from hostile alien races, while seeking the true meaning of the stone.
