Acceleration Nation

Acceleration Nation was my First Professional RCT3 Attraction. I don't really count Alien Encounter because it was just a test for custom scenery and it evolved into a quick ride. But Acceleration Nation was planned out, revised, and worked on for months.

History

Acceleration Nation started out as a dark ride through a government agency under New York. This started with the Cafe you enter at the beginning of the ride. I was inspired by Captain America: The First Avenger, in the scene where a small antique shop was revealed to house a government agency in the back in New York. But I couldn't get the story and set pieces to work, so i went back to the drawing board. Finally, I decided on a street racing ride, similar to Test Track. This later evolved into Acceleration Nation.

Queue

Riders enter Bronx Coffee from New York Avenue. They weave through the cafe before exiting out the back into a dark alley. Riders then find themselves in a warehouse containing various racing cars. Riders are then ushered into the Pre-Show room, where they find out they are going to be competing in a underground street race, and that the police have been alerted already. Guests then board their cars and head off to race.

Ride

Guests exit the warehouse, and preform a burnout for the crowd watching the race. The car then heads to the starting line, and the race begins. After swerving through various alleys and drifting onto the interstate, Guests find themselves in first place. Suddenly, Blue Lights, The cops are here! Riders then swerve and dodge police cars as they make their way back to the warehouse, where they are informed that they have won the race. Guests then leave their cars and exit the ride into Sparkey's Auto Shop, a gift shop.
